HE AAC (AAC+) Decoder
High Efficiency AAC Profile (HE AAC or AAC+) is a MPEG-4 standard for low bit rate coding . It uses Spectral Band Replication (SBR) for regeneration of high-frequency signal components to achieve coding gain of more than 30% compared to MPEG-4 AAC LC. Ittiam HE-AAC Decoder is an implementation of HE-AAC conforming to the ISO/IEC - 3:2001/FDAM1 specification
Features
- Supports all bitrates and sample rates from 8 khz to 48 khz
- Supports optional tools : Intensity Stereo and Mid/Side Stereo, TNS (Temporal Noise Shaping)
- Supports bit stream formats ADIF, ADTS, MP4
- SBR specification : Supports Down-sampled Synthesis, Low Power (LP) SBR, levels 2 and 3 and signaling types - implicit, hierarchical explicit and backward compatible explicit
- Supports a simple C callable with flexible memory allocation scheme
- Multi-channel, reentrant software
- The implementation has been tested on a variety bitstreams and audio files for robustness and quality
- Implementation fully compliant to ISO/IEC 13818 - 4, 14496 - 4, 14496 - 3:2001/FDAM1 specification
- Optimized for low footprint and processing power
