Strong Growth In Semiconductor Sales, Both Actual And PredictedGabe on EDA - Gabe MorettiJul. 08, 2010 |
The Semiconductor Industry Association has released its sales numbers for May 2010. They show that the industry revenues are growing and that, at least for now, they are not being negatively impacted by the financial turmoil precipitated by the European debt crisis, and the general weakening of governmental finances worldwide.
At the same time, IDC, a provider of market analysis for this industry among others, released its estimate for the period 2011 to 2014. It also shows significant growth for the semiconductor industry. IDC projects that the industry will grow to reach $340 billion in revenue by the end of the period.
