We’ve just returned from USB Developers Days in Vancouver, B.C.
Another day on USB Authentication and USB Power Delivery.
More importantly, USB Type-C is here.
That means lots of cables: Here’s the ones that can think of
- USB 2.0 only
- USB 3.x
- USB supporting Alt-Mode like DP
- USB Power Only
- Different power ratings
- Power plus USB 3.x
- Power plus Alt mode
- And more..
The Default USB Power that must be supported is
USB 3.2 with 5 V and either 900mA or 1,500mA for a total of either 4.5W or 7.5W
USB 2.0 with 5 V and at 500mA for total of 2.5W
