Biography
Chief Technology Officer Dr. Gauthier has been working on high-speed interfaces for almost 20 years - working on server-class microprocessors at Sun Microsystems, leading edge graphics chips at ATI, and on the interconnect powering the world's fastest supercomputer at Prism Circuits. Prior to co-founding OmniPhy, Dr. Gauthier was the Director of Applications and Engineering with MoSys. There he lead the SerDes team that developed the 10.3 Gb/s SerDes that powered the companies flagship product, "The Bandwidth Engine." The product was nominated for UBM TechInsight's Most Innovative Memory Product in 2011 and worked on first-silicon. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor has authored over a dozen technical papers, and has been granted over 80 US Patents. He has an outstanding reputation in the industry and has given guest lectures on various aspects of interface design including signal integrity and the effects of inductance at places like I.S.S.C.C., Advanced VLSI classes at Stanford University, and other teaching assignments including the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
