Biography

Samir Patel is the CEO of Sankalp. He is an Industry thought leader for Semiconductor IP technology and Business acumen. Samir has been with Sankalp for over 5 years and has set up its global operations in North America & Europe. Samir has streamlined the operations at Sankalp and has improved its readiness to scale. He was instrumental in structuring and executing Sankalp's Merger & Acquisition deal with KPIT Cummins Infosystems Limited. Previously, Samir worked at Rambus where he was instrumental in the growth of Rambus for more than 15 years where he led the deployment of high-speed interfaces and memories in leading-edge products ranging from computers to game machines. At Rambus he held various positions from individual contributor to Senior V.P. of Engineering. He is also credited with setting up of Rambus India captive center that is now a critical development center globally. . Samir also championed and completed the Rambus's acquisition of Silicon Valley based company GDA Technologies IP Unit. Prior to Rambus, Samir worked at companies like: SUN Microsystems, Catalyst Semiconductor and National Semiconductor holding various technology positions. Samir has a B.S. degree from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and MS from University of Santa Barbara. He also has to his credit several executive courses from Stanford University.
