inSilicon Corporation acquires Ocean Logic's Multimedia Technology
SYDNEY, Australia, December 11, 2000 - Ocean Logic, a privately held developer of multimedia and encryption semiconductor intellectual property, today announced that inSilicon Corporation (NASDAQ:INSN) has licensed Ocean Logic's JPEG codec family of products through inSilicon's acquisition of Xentec, Inc. of Toronto, Canada. Ocean Logic previously licensed Xentec as the exclusive distribution channel for JPEG IP technology, inSilicon assumes rights to Ocean Logic's JPEG technology as part of the acquisition.
