corporate and technological agreements
San Jose, California May 12, 2005 — PLDApplications (PLDA) today announced 87% revenue growth in 2004 and record first quarter orders and revenue in 2005.
Recently designated the world's largest PCI IP Core vendor (Gartner Dataquest, April 22, 2005—Market Share: Semiconductor Intellectual Property, Worldwide, 2004, by Christian Heidarson and Jim Tully), PLDA designs and sells a wide range of ASIC and FPGA interfacing solutions for the PCI and derivative markets (PCI Express, PCI-X, CompactPCI, and PC104/PC104+). "We attribute our continuing growth to two factors," explained Jean-Yves Brena, President of PLDA, "a strong commitment to a loyal and growing client base and a long-term strategy designed to meet our clients' present and future needs."
"The PCI protocol clearly maintains significant market volume," explained Jim Tully, VP and Distinguished Analyst at Gartner Dataquest, "however, it's clear that the industry is shifting to PCI Express."
Nine years ago, PLDA was the first company to offer a PCI Master / Target IP Core and today has sold over 500 licenses. PLDA is again in the vanguard with PCI Express, delivering a suite of solutions designed to simplify and accelerate adoption. "Our PCI Express product family gives any designer, even those without prior PCI Express experience, the power to transition easily and quickly," explained Arnaud Schleich, Vice President of PLDA. "The adoption cost has never been lower in both financial terms and integration time."
PLDA signed contracts with key semiconductor players for its PCI Express IP Cores, including Endpoint, Root Port, and Bridges applications. The company focuses on comprehensive solutions that support ASIC, Structured ASIC, and FPGA architectures. "By offering a full range of products our clients can find the best technology / process with a single IP vendor," explained Mr. Schleich. PLDA is pleased to work with the following companies: AGERE, AGILENT, ALCATEL, ATMEL, CISCO, FREESCALE, FUJITSU, HP, IBM, INTEL, MATSUSHITA, MENTOR GRAPHICS, MICROSOFT, PMC-SIERRA, QUANTUM, SONY, SUN, etc.
