NEC Electronics Europe releases low-cost System-on-Chip Lite+ starter kit
The Start it! development board facilitates the first encounter with the System-On-Chip Lite+ device. The on-board System-on-Chip Lite+ prototype chip includes an ARM7TDMI-based embedded microcontroller system. The functionality of this system can be expanded by means of sections of user defined logic (UDL) implemented within a mid-range FPGA. Flash, SDRAM and SRAM (optional) memory are also available on board to support initial software implementations with the board.
Connectors on the Start It! board support hook-up to a standard PC via Ethernet and to USB interfaces in the FPGA. It comes fully equipped with a µClinux operating system, including a small web server application that allows immediate operation using the Ethernet interface and a standard PC.
Features:
-System-on-Chip Lite+ prototype chip
o ARM7TDMI-S + SDRAM controller + 10/100M Ethernet MAC
o Interrupt controller, Timer, Watchdog, UART
- FPGA for 100K raw ASIC gates
- Flash-ROM (4 Mbytes)
- SDRAM (32 Mbytes)
- Serial port conforms to the RS232-C communication standard
- JTAG port for connection of standard ARM® debugging tools
- Parallel port for program/memory download and boundary scan of the FPGA
- 10/100 M Ethernet PHY
The System-on-Chip Lite+ Start it! starter kit can be ordered now. For further information on the System-on-Chip Lite+ Start it! development board please visit the following URL: http://www.eu.necel.com/soclite+
