ARM Appoints New President In Japan
Takafumi Nishijima to bring extensive global technology industry experience to ARM
CAMBRIDGE, UK and SHIN YOKOHAMA, JAPAN - May 27, 2005 - ARM® [(LSE:ARM)]; (Nasdaq:ARMHY)], today announced the appointment of Takafumi Nishijima as president and representative director of ARM KK. Takio Ishikawa, who has led the Japanese operation since 1994, will move to a supporting role as corporate advisor.
Nishijima has more than 25 years of sales and business management experience in the technology industry. Prior to joining ARM, Nishijima was senior vice president of Sales and Marketing at leading mobile technology provider, Aplix. Nishijima also held various positions at Fujitsu in both Japan and the United States.
A Tokyo native, Nishijima graduated from Tokyo University with a degree in Physics.
"We are confident that the experience Nishijima-san brings to ARM will further strengthen our position in Japan," said Warren East, chief executive officer of ARM. "He will work closely with all our Partners and continue to build strong business relationships with them."
