Accelerated Technology Adds Nucleus RTOS and Middleware Support for Analog Device's Fusiv VX Platform
MOBILE, Ala., June 29, 2005 - Accelerated Technology, a Mentor Graphics division (Nasdaq: MENT), today announced the release of the Nucleus® Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) with networking middleware for the Fusiv Platform from Analog Devices, Inc (ADI). The announcement provides embedded developers using the Fusiv Platform a royalty-free solution for developing high-quality video, voice and data services for applications such as Residential Customer Premises Equipment (CPE), Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) and Integrated Access Devices (IADs) for residential and business markets.
The Fusiv Platform provides high optimization and integration with a single chip solution with Network Processing and digital signal processing. This complements the scalable and fast Nucleus RTOS, giving users a powerful solution to develop customer premises equipment (CPE) devices with a range of broadband services--from voice over IP (VoIP) to full "triple-play" voice, video and data offerings.
"ADI is excited about the delivery of the Nucleus RTOS support for our Fusiv chipset," said Jerry McGuire, general manager, Media Platforms and Service Group, Analog Devices. "The combination of the Nucleus RTOS and Fusiv chipset provide an ideal solution for manufacturers creating affordable customer premises equipment (CPE) designed to deliver broadband services with the quality of service (QoS) that residential and SOHO customers expect."
"This Nucleus software support for the Fusiv Platform meets the aggressive needs of embedded developers in the feature-intensive, high-speed video, voice and data services market," said Robert Day, director of marketing, Mentor Graphics Embedded Systems Division. "We are pleased that Analog Devices continues to place confidence in our RTOS to help developers get their complex products to market quickly."
Other Nucleus software components available to the Fusiv Platform developers include a command line interface, the Nucleus NET networking stack, including Network Address Translation (NAT) software and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server, the Nucleus FILE file management system, embedded Web server and extended protocol package.
Pricing and Availability
The Nucleus embedded software is sold with source code and without royalty fees. Licenses for the Nucleus software begin at $12,495. For more information, please contact Accelerated Technology at 800-468-6853 or info@acceleratedtechnology.com.
