Aplus Flash Technology announces mass production of its serial EEPROM product families
Update: Aplus Flash Technology is no more in business
San Jose, California, July 1, 2005 -- Aplus Flash Technology, a leader in nonvolatile memory design, announced today that its 24BC and 93BC serial EEPROM family of products have entered into volume mass production. These products were introduced last year for a wide range of consumer, communications, and computing applications. The available serial EEPROM products are AF24BC02/04/08/16/64 and AF93BC46/56/66/86. The EEPROMs operate over industrial temperature ranges (-40C to 85C) from 1.8 to 5.5 volts, exceed 1 million program and erase cycles, have 100 years data retention rates, and can sustain ESD voltages greater than 5kV. The EEPROMs are sold in 8-pin PDIP, SOIC, and TSSOP packaging and can be ordered directly from Aplus or Aplus’ distributors.
Aplus’ serial EEPROMs have shipped to customers in these markets for end-user applications such as DVD players, RAM modules, USB devices, LCD monitors, keyboards, mice, routers, etc. The higher density products in the I2C family, AF24BC128 and AF24BC256, will be available in Q3 of 2005.
