Faraday Contracted Three ASIC Business Agents in Korea to Expand its Global Presence

HSINCHU, Taiwan - August, 25, 2005 -- Faraday today announced the engagement between Faraday and three leading ASIC Service agents in Korea . KT Design, Logic Camp, and MobileGraph all entered into long term partnership with Faraday to jointly develop optimized ASIC products for LCD controllers, VoIP and mobile phone controllers.

According to the Gartner Dataquest's investigation, Korean semiconductor will enjoy substantial growth in the coming three years. The market research firm also indicated that LCD Panel IC market in Korea ranked as top 1 and represented 40% of the worldwide market share. The mobile phone ICs, on the other hand, accounted for 41.4% of the total IC market revenue in Korea in 2004, which was about 20% of the world supply of mobile phone ICs.
