Microbridge Technologies announces its Sales Team
Montréal, Québec -- October 25, 2005 - Microbridge Technologies Corp., a privately held technology company, announces the appointment of three sales professionals to respond to the variety of customers and opportunities that have already emerged for RejustorTM technology.
The Microbridge Rejustor is the world's first electronically programmable resistor for sensor and electronics companies dissatisfied with existing adjustment and temperature conditioning alternatives. The Rejustor is an integrated, analog micro-device that features eTC (electronic temperature compensation) in addition to programmable resistance. Today companies are working with the Rejustor technology for electronic calibration and conditioning, eliminating the workarounds of alternatives such as digital and analog potentiometers, laser trimming and digital conditioning.
The announcement of the Sales Team, with over 50 years of combined experience, coincides with the availability of Rejustor standard products. The Sales Team joins Nick Tasker, VP Business Development, who has been with Microbridge Technologies for two years introducing the Rejustor technology to the sensor, integrated circuit and electronic industries.
Tom Riedl, Vice President Sales and Marketing - The Microbridge Technologies sales team is headed by Tom Riedl who brings 30 years of sales experience from technology leaders including; National Semiconductor, Samsung Semiconductors and Motorola Semiconductors. Most recently, Mr. Riedl held senior sales and management positions with TSMC and X-Fab Semiconductor Foundries.
Tom's broad experience introducing new and developing technologies coupled with his understanding of the foundry business brings a wealth of knowledge to Microbridge's fabless business model. This experience makes him an excellent fit with the challenges associated with launching the Rejustor Technology.
"Microbridge's Rejustor and eTC technology will allow designers for the first time to deal with analog problems like offset and temperature sensitivity in the analog domain," said Tom. "Companies can no longer afford tactical workarounds to analog problems when there is a true analog conditioning solution available.
Viren Gandhi, Director of Sales - Mr. Gandhi has over 11 years sales, business development and customer support experience in the semiconductor and telecommunications fields. Most recently as Director of Sales and Marketing with Voyageur Technical Sales engaged in IP licensing of a broad line of analog and digital SIP blocks, ASIC/ASSP production and design services, structured ASICs, integrated circuits and passive components.
Mr. Gandhi was previously a founder of a business development consulting company, Covalent Technologies, and sales and business development manager at Tality, Cadence Design Services. He began his career with Nortel Networks broadband business unit and later managed customer focused programs for the wireless, telecom & enterprise network business units. Viren has given keynote speeches to industry veterans on the "creation and management of high tech sales channels". Viren holds a B.Sc. Eng. Degree from Queen's University at Kingston, Canada.
"We are very pleased to have Viren join Microbridge as we start our commercialization phase and take the first Rejustor products and our electronic analog conditioning technology to the market," said Mike Foster, president and CEO of Microbridge. "Viren is already heavily engaged with our customers and new sales opportunities."
Tim Warland, Sr. Applications Engineer - Tim has a decade of experience as a Senior Application Engineer working in the telecom, datacom, military and industrial controls market. His electronic design experience ranges from low-frequency SONAR applications to OC-768 transceiver design. Tim has a long and successful track record bringing new products to market. Most recently Tim launched the Tsi148 VME Bridge IC for Tundra Semiconductor. Tim holds a B. Eng. degree from Carleton University, an MBA from the University of Ottawa, is a Professional Engineer and a member of the IEEE.
"We are delighted to have Tim join Microbridge as an integral member of our sales team", said Tom Riedl, VP Sales and Marketing for Microbridge. "Tim's extensive technical support and product marketing experiences at Nortel Networks, Tundra Semiconductor and Quake Technologies make him an invaluable addition to our sales team".
About Microbridge Technologies
Microbridge Technologies Corporation provides a strategic solution for electronic adjustment and temperature compensation; activities historically addressed by tactical workarounds. In the unforgiving and intensely competitive global markets, this strategic solution will rapidly become the next "must have" technology in sensor and electronics manufacturing. RejustorsTM with eTC, are an integration ready, passive analog electronic adjustment technology with temperature compensation and resistive adjustment capabilities.
