ATEME Introduce High Performance MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 Encoder PC Suite
The PC Encoder Suite enables fast HD encoding, in Baseline, Main and High Profiles, with easy integration in production workflow. Benefiting from ATEME leadership and pioneering development (patents pending) in advanced video compression, this full-featured encoding solution offers to video professionals unprecedented high quality video at lower bitrate.
When "full-featured" truly takes its meaning: AVC Encoder PC Suite by ATEME supports interlaced or progressive video (with MBAFF, PAFF) in a variety of formats and resolutions from QCIF up to 4kx2k (level 5.1), including 720p and 1080i formats, reading any file format with available DirectShow filter. As a strictly standards compliant (ISO/IEC 14496-10) and the most comprehensive implementation to date, it is fully configurable and supports all profiles: Main, Baseline and High, with variable GOP configuration, pixel motion estimation (1, 1/2 or 1/4), bit rate control mode (CBR, VBR, Dual pass)...Professional pre-processing (de-interlacing, exclusive noise filtering, 3:2 pulldown...), mono or stereo audio compression (MPEG audio, AAC...).
ATEME's MPEG-4 AVC Encoder PC Suite is the perfect tool to guarantee the ultimate HD experience, with immediate usage of existing MP4 or MPEG-2 TS files in VOD servers, content delivery to TV and mobile systems. This Windows(TM) Suite is easy to use locally or remotely, through a batch manager and dropping directories associated to custom presets, allowing one-click encoding. Set-top box manufacturers and decoders integrators will use it for interoperability testing, by taking advantage of test files generation with fine tuning of all parameters.
The innovative simultaneous transmission while encoding capability allows valuable time saving for use cases such as news gathering. Not only the encoding time is totally masked, but AVC encoding by ATEME enables to keep a better quality picture with a lower bit rate, thus preserving bandwidth.
"Our unrivaled Advanced Video Compression technology - largely deployed on streaming media devices, is now available on PC to serve the HD professional video applications", said Dominique Edelin, Chief Strategist of ATEME, "The MPEG-4 AVC PC Encoder complements ATEME's AVC technologies which include VHDL IPs (Intellectual Property) for FPGA and Kompressor AVC PCI encoding board."
The ATEME MPEG-4 AVC Encoder PC Suite is available now to integrators and professional end-users. Contact us for more information - product features, licensing, price.
