Avtar Saini joins eInfochips board
Ahmedabad, November 26, 2005- eInfochips, an Ahmedabad and Santa Clara based leading provider of electronic design services to global blue chip technology companies has recently announced appointment of Mr. Avtar Saini to the Board of Directors.
Avtar is an Intel veteran. In a career spanning 22 years at Intel, Avtar has worked in various capacities in the areas of microprocessor design and development. Avtar holds seven patents related to microprocessor design. As Intel's Director for South Asia, Avtar successfully managed Intel businesses in the Indian Subcontinent and built the engineering team from its inception to over 1500 engineers.

Avtar holds a Bachelors degree in electrical engineer from the University of Mumbai, and a masters degree in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota. At Intel, Avtar co-led the development of the Pentium processor and was responsible for the first phase development of Intel's 64-bit architecture - The Itanium Processor. Driven by desire to work in his home country, Avtar moved back to India in 1999 as Director, South Asia. Avtar left Intel in January 2004 and is currently working with smaller yet equally innovative technology companies.
