Eureka Technology Simplifies PCI Express System Development with Low-Cost PCI Express Development Kit
The development board is a PCI Express adapter card with PX1011A PCI Express PHY chip from Philips Semiconductor, Xilinx Spartan3 FPGA, and various on board I/O devices. Both the development board and the Eureka PCI Express IP core passed all PCI-SIG compliant and interoperability tests. Each development board is shipped with Eureka’s PCI Express IP core fully integrated into the FPGA, sample application logic, device driver, and demonstration software. The device driver and application software supports Windows XP operating systems.
“The availability of the PCI Express development kit is a major step in lowering the barrier to PCI Express system design," said Simon Lau, president of Eureka Technology. “Use of this development kit allows our customers to co-develop the logic hardware, software, and system level of PCI Express system together.”
“Our goal is to ensure that the PXPIPE interface and PX1011A PCI Express PHY can be deployed in PCI Express system rapidly. The deployment of Eureka’s PCI Express development board validates our goal and demonstrates the stability of the PXPIPE interface,“ said Dhwani Vyas, general manager, interface product line, Philips Semiconductors.
The PCI Express development board is priced at $2,399. For ordering and information about the PCI Express development board, please visit http://www.eurekatech.com/products/pci/pcie_resource.htm
