Juan M. Chapa Joins Tensilica as Vice President of North American Sales

Santa Clara, Calif. – December 13, 2005 – Tensilica, Inc. today announced that Juan M. Chapa has joined the company as vice president of North American sales. Chapa joined Tensilica from ARM / Artisan, where he was senior director of North American sales."Tensilica is delighted to have someone of Juan's tenure, track record and industry knowledge as part of our worldwide sales team,” said Antonio J. Viana, senior vice president of worldwide sales at Tensilica. “Juan’s leadership will help us further proliferate Tensilica's innovative configurable processors and processor-based design methodologies across North America."
Chapa worked at ARM/Artisan since 2002 and led Artisan’s direct sales force, business partners and support team. Previously, Chapa founded ZeusTec Sales, Inc. in 1991, which provided direct sales of semiconductor solutions for major suppliers and he took the company from start-up status to $50 million revenue in the first five years. Chapa began his career with Xerox Corporation in 1981 and has held a number of sales and marketing management positions for Wyle Laboratories, Cypress Semiconductor and Mosel-Vitelic.
