Global Edge Software Ltd, Develops a H.264 Video Decoder
August 21st 2006 -- Global Edge Software Ltd, a leading Embedded Software Engineering and Services company has developed a base line H.264 Video Decoder that is fully compliant with ITU-T H.264 recommendation also referred as ISO/IEC 14496-10 or Advanced Video Coding standard.
The baseline profile at Level 3 targets low end devices for stored playback of very low bit rate video streams and supports progressive video. The decoder has been implemented with a modular software architecture geared to low latency in ANSI C code for ease of porting and integration. The decoder is optimized in terms of target platform memory and inter-operable with any H.264 baseline encoder compliant to ISO/IEC 14496-10 standard.
This video decoder can be used in a wide range of devices from Set Top Boxes, Personal Media Players and Mobile Phones.
