Lattice Will Showcase Embedded Design Solutions, Debut New 90nm FPGA and IP Core at the Embedded Systems Conference Boston
Low Cost PCI Express Solution will be Demonstrated
HILLSBORO, OR – SEPTEMBER 11, 2006 -- Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ: LSCC) today announced that it will demonstrate embedded design solutions, including a low cost PCI Express solution, at the Embedded Systems Conference Boston, September 26-27, in Booth 715 at Hynes Auditorium. Lattice also will debut a new FPGA family and an embedded IP core. Mixed signal devices for clock and power management, particularly well suited for embedded applications, also will be featured, as well as the Lattice ispLEVER® software design tool suite.
“Lattice will showcase what we believe to be the most comprehensive and technologically differentiated embedded system design solutions in the industry, including our new 90nm FPGA devices and our unique SRAM + Flash non-volatile FPGAs,” said Stan Kopec, corporate vice president of marketing. “These products, combined with our CPLDs, mixed-signal devices for clock and power management, an extensive IP library and robust software design tools, comprise a product portfolio that targets the needs of embedded system designers. We are looking forward to sharing and discussing our embedded design solutions, including the first public demonstrations of two new products, at the Embedded Systems Conference in Boston.”
About Lattice FPGAs and PLDs
The new 90nm LatticeECP2™ FPGAs combine an efficient FPGA fabric with dedicated high-performance DSP blocks on-chip for high-volume, low-cost applications. The new “Extreme Performance” 90nm LatticeSC™ FPGAs provide unsurpassed performance and connectivity for high-speed applications. LatticeXP™ non-volatile FPGAs combine SRAM and embedded Flash technologies to provide infinite reconfigurability and easy field upgrades. Lattice MachXO™ non-volatile crossover programmable logic devices support applications traditionally addressed by high density CPLDs or low capacity FPGAs, but with a more comprehensive and cost-effective architecture and technology.
About Lattice Mixed Signal Devices
The new ispPAC® Power Manager II devices replace power management functions typically requiring multiple ICs, including Reset Generators, Voltage Supervisors, Sequencers and Trackers. In addition, the ispPAC-POWR1014A device replaces Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) ICs used for power supply voltage measurements, controlled through a standard I2C interface. All Power Manager devices provide a standard, off-the-shelf programmable mixed signal solution for power management that enhances reliability and speeds time-to-market. Analog features such as input comparator thresholds and digital functions such as supply control sequences are programmed into non-volatile E2CMOS® elements on the devices using an IEEE1149.1 protocol.
Lattice’s ispClock™ devices substantially reduce clock network design effort. Traditionally, as the performance requirements of the system increased, the effort required to generate and distribute clocks grew exponentially. Programmable ispClock devices provide unprecedented convenience to designers without compromising the system specifications. The devices provide faster time to market, reduced board space and improved manufacturability and reliability.
