VaST Expands Model Library with High Performance ARM PrimeCell® Models and AXI Bus
SUNNYVALE, Calif.-- September 29, 2006 -- VaST Systems Technology Corporation — the technology leader in embedded design — today announced the availability of VaST models of the ARM PrimeCell® PL080 DMA Controller, PL011 UART, PL190 Vector Interrupt Controller, PL131 Smart Card Interface, and the AMBA™ AXI bus.
VaST solutions provide a system engineering environment for the design of embedded systems and system-on-chip (SoC). High performance peripheral models are an important component of these solutions. ARM PrimeCells are the gold standard in re-usable soft intellectual property (IP) macrocells for ARM-based system-on-chip (SoC) designs. Peripheral models, coupled with bus and processor models, provide designers with a considerable library of pre-verified components from which to construct their end systems.
VaST models leading processors and platform IP from semiconductor and semiconductor IP suppliers focused on the wireless, consumer, and automotive markets. Through the VaST Universe partnership program, VaST collaborates with these IP suppliers to develop, verify, and deliver solutions to mutual customers.
“VaST is focused on providing complete solutions that cut time to market while improving design quality. Expanding our offering to provide ARM PrimeCell models enables greater design productivity as well as satisfying growing customer demand,” said Jeff Roane, VaST director of marketing.
