Arasan Chip Systems Appoints Kevin Walsh Vice President of Marketing and Business Development
``Kevin has an excellent track record in the semiconductor IP, applications software, and services,'' said Arasan Ganesan, chief executive officer for Arasan. ``He joins our team as we begin our second decade and start to execute on our new vision for the continuation of our rapid growth.''

Mr. Walsh most recently served as director of marketing for Synopsys' IP group. He was previously vice president of marketing for inSilicon, Inc., a public company acquired by Synopsys in 2002. Additionally, Mr. Walsh was the executive vice president of Sapphire Design, now part of Sequence Design, and vice president of marketing for Simplex Solutions, now part of Cadence. His previous positions provide a depth of experience in new product development in emerging markets. He has successfully launched and managed many products that are leaders in their segments.
Walsh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He also has a Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University. He also brings to Arasan extensive experience in early market development, strategic planning, partnerships, field sales support and hands-on product management.
