Denali Announces Comprehensive PCIe 2.0 Design and Verification IP Suite
Denali's PureSpec™ Verification IP and Databahn PCIe Design IP Meets Newly Released PCI Express 2.0 Specifications
PALO ALTO, Calif. -- January 15, 2007 -- Denali Software, Inc., a world-leading provider of electronic design automation (EDA) software and intellectual property (IP), today announced that its PureSpec™ verification intellectual property (IP) and Databahn™ PCIe products fully support the recently announced PCI-SIG® PCI Express Base 2.0 (Gen II) specification. Design and verification engineers can rely on these industry-proven IP products, with over 250 validated designs, realizing the increased efficiency derived from the interoperable, high-quality verification solutions to deploy PCI Express technology.
"IP products for design and verification of PCI Express systems, such as those from Denali, offer significant value to the PCI-SIG community," said Al Yanes, PCI-SIG chairman. "Denali has been an active participant in the PCI Express design ecosystem for several years, and we appreciate their contributions which help to streamline the deployment of PCI Express technology into the industry."
Denali's PureSpec verification IP software for PCI Express is the most widely used solution for verifying functionality, compliance and interoperability of PCI Express designs at the pre-silicon stage of chip or IP core development. PureSpec support of the PCI Express Base 2.0 specification includes dynamic link speed management, link retraining, inferred electric idle, Access Control Service (ACS), and Functional-Level Reset (FLR). Preliminary support for the proposed multi-root hierarchy IOV and Address Translation Services specifications is also available. As the PCI Express technology and specification continue to evolve, it will address targeted features such as improved dynamic controls, optimized synchronization coherency hints, and more efficient transaction ordering.
"Our timely and comprehensive design and verification solutions for PCI Express technology continue to meet our customers' PCI Express design requirements," remarks David Lin, vice president of product marketing for Denali. "Our customers depend on high-quality verification and IP solutions that are in step with the latest revisions from the PCI-SIG and can look forward to steady updates as the specification matures."
