Jetstream Media Technologies Announces Multi-Gigabit GCM CCM XTS Triple-Mode Security IP Core
Industry's first multi-gigabit GCM/CCM/XTS triple-mode security IP core that empowers SoC vendors to design high-performance robust security products.
NAPERVILLE, Ill.-- February 08, 2007 --Jetstream Media Technologies announced today the availability of our industry’s first multi-gigabit GCM/CCM/XTS triple-mode security IP core. The newly introduced IP core, JetCombo-3, features Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), Counter mode with CBC-MAC (AES-CCM), Galois-Counter Mode (AES-GCM), and XTS-AES mode (XEX-based Tweaked-codebook-mode with ciphertext-Stealing) all combined in the same IP core by sharing hardware resources. This is the most recent member of our combined-mode IP core family.
“With the addition of the multi-gigabit triple-mode IP core to our IP portfolio, Jetstream Media Technologies empowers System on Chip (SoC) vendors to build processors that support all three cryptographic algorithms AES-CCM, AES-GCM, and XEX-AES. Therefore, allowing semiconductor vendors to design high-performance robust security into next-generation SoCs.” said Dr. Philip Chao, president and CEO of Jetstream Media Technologies.
The AES-CCM mode provides the privacy and authentication mechanism for many international standards such as WI-FI™, WiMAX™, WiMedia®, VPN, and tape storage. The AES-GCM mode integrates a Galois-Field multiplier and an AES core to meet high data-rate requirements of security applications such as IEEE-802.1ae (MACsec), IPsec, tape storage and Fibre Channel security. The XTS-AES mode supports high data-rate for hard disk storage encryption based on IEEE-P1619-draft.
Other security IP cores Jetstream Media Technologies offers include: AES family, CCM family, GCM, XTS cores, configurable secure hashing core supporting MD5, SHA-1, SHA-224, SHA-256, SHA-384, and SHA-512, Triple-DES, and the public key modular exponentiation accelerator for RSA®/Diffie-Hellman up to 4096 bits. The complete security IP core products offered by Jetstream Media Technologies enables the manufacturers to choose the IP core that is best suited for their application needs.
Jetstream Media Technologies helps customers to speed time to market and to achieve targeted performance / gate count through flexible and reliable security IP products. We are committed to support our customers to meet their design challenges and project goals. For more information go to: www.jetsmt.com or www.security-cores.com
