ARC Announces Return of Successful ConfigCon Conference Series with New Locations Added for 2007
ConfigCon™ 2007 Israel, First in Series, to Highlight Configurable Solutions For Wireless, Media, and Security SoCs
ELSTREE, England, February 20, 2007 – ARC International (LSE: ARK) today announced that the successful ConfigCon™ developers conference series is expanding in 2007 to include additional regions active in next-generation system-on-chip (SoC) development. The 2007 ConfigCon conference series will leverage the momentum established by the 2006 program, where more than 1,000 attendees participated in events in Taiwan, China, and Silicon Valley.
The first ConfigCon 2007 event will be Herzliya, Israel, and take place on Monday, March 19th at the Dan Accadia Hotel. Semiconductor company executives, venture capitalists, and SoC designers who attend will hear 20 keynote and technology presentations from companies providing configurable processors and subsystems intellectual property (IP), and the software and hardware development solutions for getting SoCs incorporating them quickly to market. These solutions include the latest integrated development environments (IDEs), more analytical simulation tools, operating systems, more effective EDA flows, powerful compilers, incisive debuggers, and valuable on-chip IP.
Erez Tsur, director of EMEA business development at Cadence Design Systems, and one of the keynote speakers at ConfigCon Israel 2007, said, “I am pleased to continue Cadence’s participation in the ConfigCon series, which has been instrumental in helping educate SoC designers on ways to more effectively create chips for high-growth, price sensitive markets. At ConfigCon Israel, I look forward to discussing how to cultivate entrepreneurial success, maximize funding, and accelerate product development.”
“Due to the success of ConfigCon last year, we are expanding the program in 2007 and taking the developer conference into new regions that are active in SoC design,” said Derek Meyer, senior vice president of sales and marketing at ARC International. “First on the program for this year is ConfigCon Israel, which will target the region’s high concentration of SoC developers, advanced design centers, and chip manufacturing facilities. Due to its large amount of venture capital investment and high number of start-up companies, we fully expect ConfigCon Israel to be well received and to be a great start to the 2007 ConfigCon Series.”
About ConfigCon™ Israel 2007
ConfigCon Israel is part of at least four ConfigCon events planned for 2007. It will educate hundreds of SoC designers and executives in one of the world’s most active semiconductor markets on how configurable subsystems and cores enable the creation of lower cost, highly differentiated SoCs that command higher margins and cannot be easily copied by competitors.
ConfigCon Israel will feature morning keynote presentations from industry leaders detailing how configurable processor technology can help Israeli semiconductor companies obtain a strategic competitive advantage. These will be followed by technical sessions covering a range of detailed topics. Attendees also will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from companies providing a wide range of solutions for SoC design with configurable subsystems and processors. A free luncheon and evening reception are provided to all attendees.
