EtherWaves Acquires Sonarics Labs' Digital Radio Technology
Sonarics Labs’ proven solutions have empowered thousands of Digital Radio receivers, around the world, in the Consumer Electronics market, and in German Luxury in-car infotainment systems.
EtherWaves develops and licenses Digital Radio and Mobile TV Intellectual Property (IP), targeting the Automotive and the System-On-Chip (SoC) markets.
EtherWaves offers new opportunities for Semiconductor companies enabling SoC, embedded with standard core processors, to compete in the Digital Radio and Mobile TV markets.
“Powered by our patent-pending IMSiS™ technology, our ClearSignal™ solution comprises a finely balanced fusion of software and silicon design enabling SoC designers to employ their existing core processor, while simultaneously supporting multiple Digital Radio functionality”, said Linda Kedem, EtherWaves’ Marketing Manager.
“EtherWaves’ innovative core agnostic software has the capability to run on a standard core processor. By leveraging Sonarics’ pure software technology, we are providing competitive advantages to SoC designers who do not have to add large and costly silicon subsystems when needing to operate Digital Radio capability. The acquisition will position EtherWaves as a leading provider of Digital Radio technologies”, continued Linda Kedem.
