PLDA and Texas Instruments Showcase PCI-SIG Compliant Solution at Embedded Systems Conference
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- March 27, 2007 -- PLDA, an industry leader in the high-speed bus market, and Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN), a leading provider of innovative DSP and analog technologies, today announced that their PCI Express controller / PHY solution successfully passed the full suite of PCI-SIG compliance tests and will soon appear on the PCIe Integrators List.
PLDA will feature a live demo of the PLDA / TI solution at the Embedded Systems Conference (booth 641) in San Jose, California, April 3-5. Please visit http://www.embedded.com/esc/sv/ for conference details.
“The joint validation of TI’s XIO1100 and PLDA’s PIPE IP core provides customers with a field-proven, out of the box solution that can be used on any FPGA platform, eliminating the integration and interoperability issues customers face when working with multiple vendors,” said Jawaid Ahmad, PCIe product marketing manager at TI.
The PLDA TI controller / PHY solution passed the full suite of compliance tests at the PCI-SIG compliance workshop #54. Tests include link protocol verification using an Agilent Protocol Test Card (PTC), PCIe Configuration Space testing (PCIe-CV), extensive electrical testing with the PCIe Electrical Testing Toolkit, and Interop testing.
"PLDA builds time-saving design blocks that help our clients get to market faster," said Arnaud Schleich, co-founder and vice president of Sales and Marketing at PLDA. "By collaborating with partners like TI, we can offer a broad range of feature-rich PCIe solutions which allow our clients to focus their efforts on their application logic."
PLDA's silicon proven PCIe IP controller has been listed on PCI-SIG's Integrators list since 2004. Please visit http://www.plda.com/products/ip_xpress_fpga.php for details.
TI's XIO1100 PHY interfaces the PCI Express Media Access Layer (MAC) to a PCIe serial link by using a modified version of Intel's PHY Interface (PIPE). Please visit www.ti.com/sc/device/XIO1100 for details.
