Jetstream Media Technologies' New Real-Time Video Effect IP Core Delivers Easy to Use, Fun and Personalized Memories
Naperville, Illinois, April 17, 2007 – Jetstream Media Technologies, a provider of Silicon Intellectual Property (SIP) announced today the introduction of the new JetFxTM-3000 , a turn-key solution, which allows the integration of fun and personalized video effects to playback devices. JetFx-3000 consists of three components: 1-the industry’s most advanced real time video effect silicon IP core, engineered for resolutions up to HD quality, 2-the embedded sequencer software, 3- an optional composer software.
As consumers create digital content from camcorders, digital cameras, cell phones, web contents, DVD recorders and other devices, they are looking for new ways to customize their home made memories in an unique and exciting way. There are currently only limited and time consuming choices available to them. Consumers may either use the few built-in video effects offered by their capture devices, or they can use a PC based video editor, which requires time consuming transfering of all video contents to a PC before the editing can start. This also requires additional rendering time for the effect creation on the final video. Neither choice leaves the consumer with a satisfying experience. Furthermore, creating personalized effects requires a high level of editing skills and a considerable amount of editing time. The new JetFx-3000 solves these problems.
"Consumers are looking for more convenient ways to add interesting video effects to their digital content with minimum effort", said Dr. Philip Chao, President and CEO of Jetstream Media Technologies. “This new IP core opens the door for the development of capture and playback devices that include easy to use, professional, downloadable, and personalizable video effects.”
JetFx-3000 currently has hundreds of pre-build professional transitions, color effects, and graphic animations, much more than the commonly available wipe trasitions. With its programmable effect architecture, JetFxTM provides virtually endless possibilities. Typical applications include digital photo albums, portable media players, digital cameras, diskless camcorders, DVD recorders, and any device having photo/video capture or playback capability. For the ease of chip integration, the IP core provides OCP interface.
