Jetstream Algorithms become NIST Certified and are now FIPS 140-2 Ready
NIST certifies Jetstream's cryptographic IP cores
Naperville, Illinois, June 14, 2007 – Security silicon IP provider Jetstream Media Technologies announced today that the algorithms of its security IP cores have successfully passed the Cryptographic Algorithm Validation Program (CAVP), a strict governmental testing program for the validation of semiconductor algorithms.
The Federal Information Processing Standard’s (FIPS) testing standards were established by the United States National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) to make sure that products acquired by federal agencies meet rigorous cryptographic standards. The CAVP is a prerequisite to the Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP), which is governed by the Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2. Products that are FIPS 140-2 validated are eligible to be purchased by the U.S. government and its agencies.
The following is a list of Jetstream Media Technologies validated IP cores. For additional validation information consult the NIST website http://csrc.nist.gov/cryptval/aes/aesval.html .
