Tallika Announces the Successful Completion of Flagship SoC for Hughes
Mesa (AZ), USA -- July 26, 2007 -- Tallika Corporation, a concept-to-production professional services company, announced the successful completion of a flagship SoC implementation for Hughes Network Systems, LLC (Hughes), the global leader in broadband satellite networks and services.
"The DaVinci project is the flagship System-on-Chip (SoC) fabricated in CMOS 90nm process for our next-generation broadband switched satellite network. Tallika stepped up to the challenges of this complex design. We worked as a close-knit team to produce another SoC that could go into production with first-pass silicon," said John Corrigan, senior vice president of Engineering at Hughes. "We are extremely pleased at the professionalism and technical excellence Tallika brought to the table. We were also pleased to see the contributions made by their India design center’s consultants. Our requirements for this multi-core device were quite challenging from performance and power standpoints, and Tallika was able to come in and successfully deploy their timing closure flow within a very short time."
The DaVinci project was an important milestone in Tallika's history of working with Hughes.
"The DaVinci project enabled us to continue our long history of contributions to Hughes' successes in SoC designs. In a very short period of time, we were able to deploy our technology and meet Hughes' power as well as performance goals," explained Neel Das, vice president of Professional Services at Tallika. "We brought to the table silicon-proven implementation technologies that leverage low-leakage libraries while not sacrificing performance. We believe in close communications with our client's team, providing honest and timely feedback on issues, and staying focused on the project's goal—production-worthy first-silicon. Our ability to help our clients is due in no small part to our talented team in Chennai."
