IKOS Systems Promotes Robert Hum to Chief Operating Officer
CUPERTINO, Calif.----May 3, 2000-- IKOS Systems, Inc. , a leading provider of design verification solutions, today announced the appointment of Robert Hum, 48, to Chief Operating Officer (COO). For the past two years, Mr. Hum has been serving as the Company's senior vice president of product operations, where his responsibilities have included the definition, development and marketing of IKOS products. In addition to these responsibilities, as COO, Mr. Hum will assume responsibility for overseeing both the manufacturing and IT divisions.

Prior to assuming his present position, Hum served as senior vice president of product operations for IKOS. He joined the company in 1997 as vice president of engineering. Before joining IKOS, Hum held several senior business and technical business management positions at Cadence Design Systems. Previously, he held a variety of technical and business management positions at Bell-Northern Research. Hum received his M.ENG degree from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

In addition to Hum's appointment, other executive promotions include the promotion of Charles Cooper to vice president of manufacturing (replacing Steve McLaughlin who has relinquished responsibility for manufacturing and plans to retire at the end of 2000) and Rich Faris to vice president of information technology, a new position, which addresses the importance of technology for long-term success of the Company. Both positions will report to Hum.
