ASIC Architect Announces the Availability of AMBA 2 AHB to PCI Express Bridge
ASIC Architect strengthens its position in the high end ASIC/SoC market.
Santa Clara, CA -- August 29, 2007 -- ASIC Architect, Inc. today announced the availability of AMBA® 2 AHB™ to PCI Express bridge product for PCI Express controllers. The solution product has passed PCI Express Compliance and Interoperability testing in PCI-SIG compliance workshop. This solution enables SoC designers to plug-in PCI Express Controller Core into AMBA 2 AHB system bus. This directly leads to low design implementation risk.
ASIC Architect is a high-speed controller solutions company. The company's portfolio of high end products includes PCI Express, DDR and SATA controller cores. The cores provide logic solution targeted for wireless, handheld, consumer, telecommunication and networking markets.
"Averant is excited to partner with ASIC Architect," said Ramin Hojati, president of Averant. "The majority of bugs in IP are found at the interfaces; working with ASIC Architect to verify
plug-and-play for AMBA bus protocols is important for everyone in the design chain."
ASIC architect uses best in class test and measurement equipments to verify its intellectual property products. ASIC architect has made a significant investment in its comprehensive verification/compliance testing methodology to make sure our customers get the first time silicon success.
"We are excited to partner with ASIC Architect in providing a vertical logic solution to our common customers," said John Wiedemeier, product marketing manager at LeCroy "The powerful debugging features of LeCroy's PCI Express analyzer along with SpekChek, our advanced compliance tool, help both our customers bring silicon level solutions quickly to the market."
"AMBA 2 AHB bridge for the silicon proven PCI Express Controller is the newest addition to the company's solution portfolio of intellectual property products. Similar to our other products, this solution is very well architected for bridging solution to meet the high speed requirement of connecting AMBA 2 AHB to PCI Express," says Kishore Mishra, President and CEO of ASIC Architect, Inc. "The architecture considers several critical areas of System-on-Chip design that includes dynamic root or endpoint mode support, clocking, reset, power management, dma and interrupt handling. This clearly demonstrates the company's commitment to bring in state-of-the-art solutions to the industry."
Earlier, the company had successfully launched PCI Express Controller with AMBA 3 AXI Interface. Similar to the AXI to PCI Express Bridge, this product provides a tightly integrated solution to connect AMBA AHB to PCI Express Controller Cores. This is a configurable, high performance and scalable solution that enables the user to choose different data-path widths and other performance enhancement configurations.
