Accelerated Technology Announces Complete RTOS Solution for MIPS Technologies' Newest MIPS32 4K Family of 32-bit Processor Cores
MOBILE, Ala., APRIL 28 -- Accelerated Technology, Inc., the leader of source code and non-royalty based Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) software, announced today that they provide a complete Nucleus embedded software solution for the newest MIPS32(TM) 4K(TM) family of 32-bit processor cores from MIPS Technologies, Inc. . The combination of tested Nucleus software and the high performance MIPS32 4K family of processor cores establishes a powerful foundation from which engineers can develop a variety of applications. These include office automation, communications (cellular phones), network management, digital consumer devices, industrial controls, automation and more, all developed quickly and easily with ATI's RTOS products (http://www.atinucleus.com ) and MIPS Technologies' 4K family of processor cores.
Accelerated Technology's support for the 4K family of processor cores includes Nucleus PLUS, a real-time kernel; Nucleus EDE, embedded development environment; Nucleus WebServ, a portable embedded web server; Nucleus NET, an RFC compliant TCP/IP protocol stack; and an entire networking suite including an ethernet driver, point-to-point protocol (PPP), an email package, and much more. Nucleus UDB, ATI's multitasking source level debugger, rounds out the product offering by providing seamless debugging integration for Nucleus software and includes support for Wiggler and Raven connectivity devices from Macraigor Systems LLC (Brookline Village, MA). By implementing the Algorithmics GNU toolset (London, England), ATI gives customers a premium, all-inclusive environment in which to develop and debug applications, from start to finish.
The 4K processor cores are available from MIPS Technologies as synthesizable soft cores as well as TSMC process-optimized hard macros. These flexible implementation options give MIPS Technologies and Accelerated Technology customers more freedom to customize the hardware and software for their specific embedded application.
A complete embedded product line means more than just a kernel. In fact, Accelerated Technology supplies a complete RTOS including prototyping tools, a portable graphics package, development tools, and system analysis tools.
``After visiting a number of accounts earlier this year, I recognized the need for a speedy solution for this exciting technology from MIPS. We were able to spin a solution for the 4Kx in a matter of a few weeks. This attests to the portability of our embedded and desktop software offerings as well as the completeness of the compiler and boards supplied for this processor,'' said Neil Henderson, president of Accelerated Technology, Inc.
