ConnectX InfiniBand Adapters and 10Gb Ethernet NICs Designed for PCI Express 2.0 Technology with Denali PureSpec Verification IP
Denali's PCIe Gen II Interoperable Solution Verifies Mellanox ConnectX for High-Performance Servers
Palo Alto, Calif. -- September 25, 2007 -- Denali Software, Inc., a world-leading provider of electronic design automation (EDA) software and intellectual property (IP), today announced that Mellanox's ConnectX Dual-Port 20Gb/s InfiniBand Host Channel Adapters (HCA) and dual port 10Gb Ethernet NICs for high-performance servers and storage have been designed to meet the latest specification for PCI Express (PCIe) 2.0 utilizing Denali's PureSpec™ verification IP product.
"Denali's PureSpec verification IP is an integral component to meet PCIe Gen II specifications," said Noam Bloch, senior director of Engineering at Mellanox. "Multi-core, multi-socket processor servers are unleashing computing power today that poses critical traffic needs which can be met by incorporating our latest 20Gb/s InfiniBand and 10Gb Ethernet products. Denali's world class high-quality IP solutions gave us the confidence that our devices will be PCIe Gen II compatible with best performance."
Denali's PureSpec verification IP software for PCI Express is the most widely-used solution for verifying functionality, compliance and interoperability of PCI Express designs. Purespec support of the PCI Express Base 2.0 specification includes speed negotiation, link retraining, inferred electric idle, Access Control Service (ACS), and Functional Level Reset (FLR). Support for single-root I/O Virtualization (IOV) and Address Translation Services (ATS) specifications is also available. For more info about PureSpec, visit www.denali.com/products_purespec.html.
Chip designers must select the highest-quality IP to verify PCIe Gen II compliance, specifically when dealing with robust server applications which represent maximum load and design requirements," said David Lin, vice president of product marketing at Denali. "Our PureSpec IP products allow for high-quality interface compliance with the latest PCIe 2.0 technology specification. We realize the importance to provide a solid roadmap of IP that enables customers to efficiently deploy PCIe technology, and we are pleased to be working with Mellanox to achieve this."
