Kaben Wireless Silicon Joins the IBM Business Partner Network
Ottawa, Ontario - November 16, 2007 -- Kaben Wireless Silicon Inc., one of the industry's leading wireless semiconductor design companies, announced today that the company has become an IBM Business Partner and validated an IP solution as Ready for IBM Technology (RFIT). Kaben Wireless Silicon's frequency synthesizer IP when utilized with IBM's 350-nm SiGe BiCMOS process technology, can deliver innovative industry solutions in a fast-growing and competitive semiconductor market.
The RFIT program is a collaborative ecosystem of companies that enables IBM to complement its semiconductor capabilities and provide complete foundry solutions to clients. This ecosystem helps IBM's foundry customers speed time to market, reduce development risk, lower development costs, and improve return on investment by identifying IP, design and manufacturing solutions that have been tested and validated for compatibility with IBM Foundry technologies.
“We expect to deliver superior technology by working together with IBM, who brings expertise as leaders in advanced process technology,” said Tom Riley, President, Kaben Wireless Silicon. “By accessing our ready-to-use IP solutions in IBM technology, customers will benefit from lower development costs and shortened time to market for their new products.”
“We are pleased to welcome Kaben to our Ready for IBM Technology business partner network. Fractional-n synthesizers are a key element in advanced radio transceivers. We expect our clients to benefit from Kaben's expertise and proven IP in this demanding and highly-specialized field,”said Ned Cahoon, manager of IBM's foundry design partner program.
