XpandR - a Wireless Multimedia System-on-Chip Platform to Be Launched by DSP Group
All-in-1
XpandR is exactly what its name indicates: a true "all-in-one" enabler. XpandR is a wireless multimedia-enabled system-on-chip platform, which supports DECT and Wi-Fi, and enables HD voice, streaming and sharing of video and music, email, web browsing and more.
1-for-All
XpandR platform is equally ideal for multimedia web devices (PC free), such as wireless picture frames, Internet radios, portable multimedia players with video, wireless security cameras, Wi-Fi/DECT video phones, fixed video phones with DECT handsets and Wi-Fi video phones.
XpandR uses open LINUX code for seamless software portability and application availability.
Ofer Elyakim, Vice President of Business Development at DSP Group, stated that: "Our all-in-one solution for multimedia terminals is powered by an extensive software suite that positions DSP Group at the center stage of the residential multimedia and communications market. We are delivering high quality in-house wireless coverage for sensitive and real-time multimedia applications. Furthermore, our XpandR is an ideal platform for developers to expand their imagination!"
DSP Group and its customers will present the new line of products at the CES in Las Vegas on January 7-10, 2008.
