VERISITY ACCELERATES DESIGN SCHEDULES THROUGH VERIFICATION CODE REUSE
Company Delivers Reusable Verification Components via Verification Advisor[tm]
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- FEBRUARY 22, 2000 -- Verisity Ltd., the leading provider of functional verification automation solutions, today announced it is helping customers accelerate design schedules by delivering reusable verification components. The e verification components--eVC[tm]--are pre-verified, reusable pieces of verification code that customers can drop into their designs to drastically cut down the time it takes to create their verification environment. The first plug-and-play components available are PCI and Ethernet modules, which will be delivered through the company's Verification Advisor.
The verification components are based on Verisity's high-level verification language, e, and comprise a major portion of the users' verification environment. For example, the PCI module provides all the verification elements for the PCI portion of a design. This significantly reduces the amount of work needed to create a verification environment and shortens the time it takes to begin running self-checking tests. Each eVC can be used in a variety of design applications and includes three integrated components: input generators for generating and injecting traffic, monitors and checkers for both data integrity and protocols and functional coverage analysis.
``Our customers are designing highly sophisticated systems in ever shorter market windows," said Moshe Gavrielov, CEO of Verisity. ``By incorporating pre-existing pieces of verification code into their designs, they are able to shorten the time it takes to get to first test. In other words, they can start finding and fixing bugs sooner. And, our customers can be assured of the quality of our eVCs because they are developed and verified by some of the leading verification experts in the industry."
Verification Advisor is an HTML-based knowledge transfer system that presents Verisity's extensive accumulation of verification expertise in the form of general-purpose and application-specific design patterns. These patterns contain code examples that can be used as templates. With the latest release v3.2.2, Verisity has added the Ethernet and PCI eVCs along with supporting documentation. Verisity plans to continually add new eVCs to Verification Advisor for commonly used buses and devices.
Pricing and Availability
