K-Will Corporation Licenses HiveFlex VSP 2200 Processor From Silicon Hive
Programmable video signal processor adds unprecedented flexibility and processing power to industry leading real-time video quality monitoring and video quality evaluation systems targeting Full 1080p HD broadcast streams
October 7, 2008 -- Silicon Hive B.V.(Eindhoven, The Netherlands),K-Will Corporation (Tokyo, Japan) announced today that K-Will Corporation in Tokyo licensed Silicon Hive’s HiveFlex Video Signal Processor (VSP) 2200 product. The VSP 2200 supports up to two 1080p HD video streams running at up to 60 frames per second while running K-Will’s world-class real time analytics engines.
The licensing agreement is a milestone for Silicon Hive as K-Will is the company’s first announced customer in Japan. “K-Will’s Video DNA Technology enables the digital video industry to achieve the highest quality distribution to consumers. By adding HiveFlex VSP 2200 to K-Will’s product engines, even more flexible products will be possible without sacrificing processing power in real-time. This is especially important in leading broadcast markets such as Japan and the USA,” said Atul Sinha C.E.O. of Silicon Hive.
“K-WILL has plans to add full 1080p picture quality analyzers to our current line up in later 2009. This will be a very accurate and real-timeI picture quality analyzer. I am excited that K-WILL can develop a 1080p engine using the HiveFlex VSP 2000,” said Takahiro Hamada C. E. O. of K-WILL.
