The Lenovo ThinkPad X300 Ultraportable Notebook Incorporates ARC Sonic Focus Technology
SAN JOSE, Calif., and ST. ALBANS, England, October 13, 2008 – ARC International (LSE: ARK) today announced that the Lenovo ThinkPad X300 Ultraportable Notebook PC running the Microsoft Vista operating system uses ARC® Sonic Focus™ software to provide consumers with an extraordinary listening experience. Ranked fifth in PC World Magazine’s “Top 100 Products of 2008” in its May 26th issue, the ThinkPad X300 carries the complete complement of ARC’s Sonic Focus technology and provides a hi-fidelity audio listening experience by:
- Converting flat and lifeless digitized audio into rich sound for playback of music and movies
- Restoring the realism and emotion of the original performance
- Transforming stereo audio into natural surround sound using existing speakers or headphones
“Consumers’ multimedia experiences have suffered as audio has migrated to compression formats such as MP3,” said Tom Paddock, vice president of audio systems at ARC International. “ARC’s Sonic Focus technology returns the life and fidelity to music and movies that the digitization process has compromised. The Lenovo ThinkPad X300 is another example of how consumers using electronics devices incorporating ARC’s Sonic Focus audio enrichment technology are benefiting from an improved experience that returns clarity, realism and depth to their multimedia content.”
