Hifn Has Taken an ARC License for Its 4th Generation Applied Services Processors Targeting the Security Market
According to market research released in September this year, the global IT security market, which includes security appliances and security software, will grow at a CAGR of nearly 16 percent by 2012, up from an estimated market value of US$16 Billion in 2008.
"Security is a must-have feature and Hifn has made it easy to implement while providing our customers with the most robust security processors possible," said Mike Goldgof, vice president of product marketing at Hifn. "We are very impressed by the complete support package that ARC delivers thus enabling us to focus on developing our security IP while they ensure we have the latest technology for our state of the art security processors."
"ARC technology is particularly suited for the creation of security devices as it enables the customer to easily create unique solutions that incorporate their own security IP and are almost impossible to duplicate or crack open," added Paul Holt, ARC's vice president, SoC products business unit.
