Gateway Silicon Licenses Wide Range of MIPS Technologies' IP Cores for USB 2.0 OTG
Design Services Company Leverages IP for Customers’ Next Generation Portable Devices
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – December 18, 2008 - MIPS Technologies, Inc. (NasdaqGS: MIPS), a leading provider of industry-standard architectures, processors and analog IP for digital consumer, home networking, wireless, communications and business applications, today announced that Gateway Silicon Inc. (GSI) licensed a wide range of its USB 2.0 OTG PHY IP cores. GSI acquired the rights to IP in 0.18µm, 0.13µm, 90nm G, 90nm LP and 65nm processes from Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing. As a design services company, GSI is leveraging the IP cores in platforms for customers’ next-generation portable devices.
