Nokia Licenses MOSAID Wireless Patents
Under the terms of the patent portfolio license agreement, MOSAID grants Nokia a license under MOSAID's wireless technology patents, as well as certain other patents, covering the company's products sold globally under the Nokia brand name. All other details of the agreement are confidential.
"Nokia, the world leader in the mobile phone industry, is the first major vendor of Wi-Fi enabled handsets to license MOSAID's wireless patents," said John Lindgren, President and Chief Executive Officer, MOSAID. "This agreement confirms the strength of our fundamental wireless patents, which apply to a wide range of Wi-Fi enabled products and systems, including smart phones, laptop computers, gaming consoles and wireless infrastructure products, such as Wi-Fi routers."
Conference Call
Management will hold an analyst conference call and webcast on Monday, February 2, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. EST to discuss the agreement with Nokia, and other licensing activities. The webcast will be live at www.mosaid.com and may also be accessed by dialing 1-800-264-7882. The webcast will be available on MOSAID's web site for 90 days following the event.
