Accent Expands ASIC Operations and Opens Design Facility in China
- Opening to extend company's success of applying its unique design and operational expertise to bring products to market
- New office to enhance Accent capabilities by increased tapping of manufacturing and design resources in Asia
According to a recent report from PricewaterhouseCooper, China is the world's largest semiconductor consumer with an estimated consumption at $88 B in 2007. However, increases in production have not kept up with consumption in the market even while Chinese semiconductor companies have grown to address the gap. The new design center will enable regional customers to easily leverage Accent's differentiated design capabilities in areas such as mixed signal and RF as well as turnkey capabilities to bring complex solutions to market more quickly and at unprecedented performance levels. The new office will also further expand Accent's turnkey capabilities by enabling the company to engage with and more effectively work with leading manufacturing companies in the region.
“We are very excited about the opening of our Shanghai office and see this as another important milestone of Accent’s ongoing growth”, said Federico Arcelli, CEO of Accent. “As China and other markets continue to evolve, Accent's 15 year proven track record in delivering complex, highly-integrated solutions with mixed signal and RF capabilities provides a compelling value proposition. This opening will also enable Accent to fully capitalize on design and manufacturing capabilities available in Asia for the benefit of our customers worldwide.”
