SP Devices Launches New 1.1 GS/s 12 bit Digitizer
Linköping, February 13, 2009 – SP Devices today announced the release of its latest ADQ series digitizer. With its 1.1 GS/s real-time sampling rate and 12 bits resolution, the ADQ 112 offers the best-performing combination of high speed and high resolution on the market today.
ADQ 112 is the second digitizer in the ADQ family that utilizes SP Devices’ proprietary interleaving technology for achieving unparalleled sample rates. It provides 1 GHz input bandwidth and allows for deep data captures through the up to 512 MB of onboard sample memory. Several interface standards are supported, including PXI Express and USB.
The digitizer comes equipped with a powerful Xilinx® Virtex 5 FPGA dedicated for customer specific real-time signal processing. “We realized that a traditional digitizer is not sufficient for many of today’s demanding test and measurement requirements”, stated Stefan Ahlqvist, senior product manager at SP Devices. “Instead customers show a strong demand for the ability of including their own real-time DSP as part of the data acquisition process. Typical processing added by the customer includes peak detection, decimation, filtering and averaging.” The FPGA development kit is sold separately, whereas a software development kit (SDK) that provide quick and flexible access to the ADQ 112 through Matlab®, LabVIEW®, C/C++ or dynamic link libraries is included free of charge. With its unique combination of customizable hardware, flexible software components, high sample rates and high resolution, the ADQ 112 is ideal for applications such as wireless communications, test and measurement, signal intelligence and radar processing.
