ARC International Introduces New Members of Executive Management Team
SAN JOSE, Calif., and ST. ALBANS, England, February 19, 2009 – ARC International (LSE: ARK), a leading provider of consumer IP to OEM and semiconductor companies worldwide, announced today three appointments to its executive management team. These proven professionals will direct ARC’s current successful “Sound-to-Silicon” strategy now gaining traction with both SoC and OEM companies. Leading the drive are Michael Franzi, worldwide vice president of marketing; Sean Redmond, vice president of worldwide field operations; and Craig Slayter, senior vice president of multimedia solutions. All report to Carl Schlachte, president and CEO of ARC International.
“Mike, Sean, and Craig have proven track records in managing and growing a business and each embodies a unique set of skills that will aggressively drive ARC’s growth,” said Carl Schlachte. “Mike Franzi brings a wealth of experience from audio companies like SRS Labs, where he was VP of sales and marketing, and THX Ltd., where he was chief marketing officer. Sean comes with a proven record of growing a worldwide field operation at major electronics companies, most recently boosting international sales at Cadence to over $300 million annually. And Craig, who will take on the responsibility for ARC’s vertically integrated solutions initiative after having previously managed ARC’s embedded software business, brings to this new position over 25 years of experience in system software, embedded systems, semiconductor IP licensing and system-on-chip technology businesses.”
