Perfectus Announces Industry's First SystemVerilog-Based OVM Compliant SuperSpeed USB Verification IP for USB 3.0 Protocol
SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- February 26, 2009 -- Santa Clara-based Perfectus Technology, the leading provider of Verification IPs, today announced the availability of SuperSpeed USB Verification IP (VIP) product based on the USB 3.0 protocol. This is the industry’s first SystemVerilog-based OVM compliant SuperSpeed USB VIP with a very sophisticated Verification Engine which will help in accelerating the SuperSpeed USB-based IP/FPGA/ASIC/SOC/Silicon verification cycle with higher reliability and greater assurance. The SuperSpeed USB VIP was tested to work in the Mentor Graphics Questa® Verification Platform.
“Perfectus SuperSpeed USB Verification IP simplifies the job of the verification engineer by eliminating the time consuming test plan and test case writing process with the SuperSpeed USB Compliance Test Suite & Comprehensive Test Suite component,” said Sheetal Kammaje, Marketing Manager of Perfectus. “Perfectus VIP truly helps with the automation of manual verification tasks and empowers Verification engineers to efficiently perform their testing and debug activities so they can focus on making the product bug-free in the least amount of time.”
The built-in intelligent Bus Functional Models helps with all kinds of packet and transaction generation. The Verification Engine component automates directed and random test generation with a powerful Error injector, Knobs, APIs and Callbacks help create the most difficult corner case tests while the checker and monitor help track the protocol violations and log transactions. The Assertion and Coverage point components measure the completeness of testing.
The unique feature of this product is the reports generated by the Genie-Interface-Inspector, which provides reports about the functional coverage inspection report which helps to identify what functionality has been tested, Error Inspection report that specifies the errors that were tested and errors that were not tested, protocol compliance inspection report that show the percent of spec compliance, and features that were tested data as well.
“Verification teams benefit from a vibrant OVM and SystemVerilog community for the supply of independent verification IP and services,” said Dennis Brophy, director of strategic business development, Mentor Graphics Corporation. “Mentor is excited to have Perfectus deliver an OVM compliant SuperSpeed USB VIP as an active member of our Questa Vanguard Partnership program.”
