Nuvation Introduces Three New Video Security Reference Designs Featuring TI's DaVinci DM357
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- March 2, 2009 -- Nuvation, a leading Electronic Design Services (EDS) firm, introduces three new video security reference designs based on TI's new DaVinci(TM) DM357.
- "IP Cam Mini," the smallest IP Camera of its class
- "IP Cam PoE," a compact form factor IP Camera with Power over Ethernet (PoE)
- "IVS," an Intelligent Video Server for encoding and decoding audio/video in Video Security applications
The reference designs feature TI's DaVinci(TM) technology which are highly integrated Digital Media system-on-chips (SoCs). TI's TMS320DM357 devices feature a fixed-function H.264/MPEG4/JPEG video coprocessor with industry-leading price-performance.

Nuvation's reference designs are licensed exclusively to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) engineering departments. Nuvation licensee packages include engineering specification documents, executables and firmware source code, schematics and layout files, bills of material, mechanical CAD files, test utilities, manufacturing diagrams, and other design source files. Licensees can choose to manufacture with pre-qualified EMS firms partnering with Nuvation, or through other preferred supply chains.
