eMemory Announces Availability of Low Cost OTP Mass Production Solution - NeoROM
In addition to the advantages of programmability made available through Neobit technology during the chip-probing (CP) and final test (FT) stages, as well as in field applications, NeoROM features mask ROM-like characteristics that allow for low-cost code programming as products move into mass production, delivering substantial reductions in overall manufacturing costs. NeoROM has already been successfully implemented in MCU- and SOC-related products, and its proven ability to provide a faster and more cost-effective approach has won high praise from major foundries worldwide.
Because of its use of a generic logic IO device as its core, NeoROM does not require an additional masking adder or extra process steps and does not change the off-the-shelf CMOS process, thus entailing no extra process costs. Compared to NVM IP from other vendors, NeoROM provides customers with minimum field application effort by code implementation after manufacturing and reduces the time required by the testing stage by 90%. Process simplicity and flexibility not only make NeoROM extremely robust and able to facilitate high fabrication yields, additional advantages delivered by eMemory’s solution—such as fast time-to-market, low manufacturing/development costs, and strong scalability— help Neobit technology adopters enhance the competitiveness of their products.
“NeoROM is the result of close interaction between eMemory and our customers. It demonstrates eMemory’s terrific technology development capabilities, and also shows our commitment to offering innovative solutions that reduce our customers’ production costs. We will continue to work closely with our customers and dedicate ourselves to delivering leading-edge solutions to satisfy the needs of a wide range of applications,” said Charles Hsu, President of eMemory.
