Sonics Joins IPextreme's Constellations Program
MILPITAS, Calif.-- June 11, 2009 -- Sonics, Inc., and IPextreme Inc., announce today that Sonics has joined the IPextreme Constellations program, which is designed to make semiconductor IP more accessible to a greater number of SoC designers.
Sonics is a premier supplier of on-chip communications solutions and IPextreme brings intellectual property to worldwide SoC designers.
The Constellations program increases sales opportunities for independent IP companies through lead-sharing among program members. With this collaborative effort, IP from multiple companies is now more accessible to potential customers. The entire design process is streamlined because designers can reduce the amount of time they spend searching for the right IP solution.
“The IPextreme Constellations program is a unique way for us to reach potential customers that we may not have been able to otherwise,” said Jack Browne, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Sonics. “We support all new ways that can help customers quickly find IP solutions for their designs which can save them development time and shorten the time-to-market.”
"Sonics’ on-chip communications technology is increasingly important in putting together semiconductors with multiple IP cores," said Warren Savage, president and CEO of IPextreme. "We’re excited to see Sonics add its star to our growing Constellation of leading IP companies working together in open collaboration."
Constellations was formed to provide IP companies a cost-effective way to expand their visibility to potential customers who are looking for the right technology for their system designs.
