Silistix Extends Its Industry Leading Asynchronous CHAIN(R)works Product Family With the Introduction of CHAINworks Sync
Silistix is no more in business
New Product Expands Silistix' Asynchronous Network-on-Chip Product Family to Address Mainstream Chip Designs by Adding Synchronous Switching SupportSAN JOSE, CA--Jun 16, 2009 -- Silistix Inc. today announced a new extensions to its CHAINworks product line, CHAINworks Sync to address a wider variety of design complexity requirements of modern SoCs. As Silistix' flagship product, CHAINworks addresses the challenges of SoC design for advanced process nodes where the highest performance, lowest power dissipation and smallest die area are required. The entire suite of CHAINworks products employs a front-end architectural exploration tool to synthesize the optimal Network-on-Chip (NoC) topologies for a given set of SoC communication requirements eliminating the long loop design iterations which have plagued complex SoC design projects. The Silistix CHAINworks suite makes complex SoC design predictable in die area, performance and power dissipation, thereby greatly reducing design costs and design completion schedule unpredictability.
CHAINworks Sync
CHAINworks Sync enables architects and designers to synthesize Networks-on-Chip using conventional synchronous circuit techniques thereby allowing mainstream chip designs to leverage the industry-leading predictability of Silistix' CHAINworks methodology.
"CHAINworks Sync is targeted directly at medium complexity AXI/OCP designs at 90 and 65 nanometer technology nodes," said David Stratman, Director of Product Marketing at Silistix. "A number of our customers have requested a product that allows them to move to the CHAINworks requirements capture and architectural exploration methodology at their current process node while providing a seamless migration path to smaller geometries."
With the addition of CHAINworks Sync to the CHAINworks product family, designers and architects can quickly find the best combination of synchronous and asynchronous interconnects for their current and future designs while delivering predictable power, performance and area, and completely obviating global timing closure and process variability issues.
