LSI licenses Silicon Hive's Configurable Parallel Processing Platform HiveLogic
HiveLogic added to LSI’s portfolio of purpose built accelerator cores for next generation communication system-on-chips.
Eindhoven, The Netherlands -- March 10, 2010 -- Silicon Hive B.V. (Eindhoven, The Netherlands) announced today that LSI Corporation licensed HiveLogic, Silicon Hive’s configurable parallel processing platform.
HiveLogic enables embedded programmable solutions for system-on-chips at unprecedented silicon area utilization and power consumption efficiency.
“Under constrained silicon area and power consumption conditions, HiveLogic enables us to improve compute performance by a factor 5 to 10 compared to alternative technologies”, said Gene Scuteri, VP of Network Components Division, LSI. “Silicon Hive’s configurable parallel processing platform helps us to implement revolutionary system-on-chips under tight time-to-market constraints, thereby contributing to LSI’s product leadership in wireless infrastructure.”
“We are excited by the opportunity to empower LSI’s system-on-chips with our HiveLogic parallel processing platform,” said Atul Sinha C.E.O. of Silicon Hive. “We are confident that HiveLogic will be a valuable differentiating addition to LSI’s multicore communications processing architectures.”
